Deep Freeze in Venice

You may have read about the extremely cold weather hitting Europe. It even snowed in Rome. Venice is no exception. Although we have had a fall and winter relatively free of high water and bad weather, it is now quite cold. If you came here during the summer when the weather is akin to Houston or Miami, you may not believe it. But here are a few pictures to prove it. I took all these the day before yesterday, except for the ones of the canal, which I took this morning.

Not sure if my coment was left or not. I was in Venice October 2011. We were there just a day and a half, so first half we went to Burano in the late afternoon to take photos. Then the rest of the time we wandered around the canals taking photos and getting lost. It was most enjoyable. I only took approximately 1200 photos which Im still going through! Six of them are up in my photography blog... http://www.robyncarterphotos.blogspot.co.nz/search/label/Venice I wonder if you could tell me the district I was in from the ones there? (Not the burano ones). I found you through my photography blog, your photo tour was advertised on my blog and I was intrigued. If I ever get to Venice (which is a maybe for next year), I'll definitely book one with you.

Cheers

Hi, Robyn, thanks for contacting me. I commented on your blog as to the one photo I did recognize. You can email an images you need to be identified, or post them on your blog and let me know. Be glad to help you.

Ciao

Hi Mike,

Thanks so much for this. Don't know why my NYC image didn't appear for you it works for me in both Chrome and Explorer.

I so enjoy your venice blog - I wish you would put up more content. I'm hooked. Wonder if you could put a follow me by email button on it (add a gadget in blogger), and I will follow you that way - that means everytime you write something, it'll come straight to my inbox and I won't miss it!

My email address is ambling.rambler@gmail.com I would love to keep in touch. Eventually when all my venetian images are in a 'row', I am going to blog about Venice again, but I would love to add about your photography tours as well. May as well give you a plug! Can you tell me more about them?

Cheers
Robyn
